Services

We provide earthworks, retaining wall construction, concrete driveways and fibreglass swimming pool installation. Any quote or scope of work is based on the information available at the time and may change if site conditions or project requirements differ.

Quotes

Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. A quote may be adjusted if the scope changes, additional work is required, or unforeseen ground conditions are found.

Bookings and Payment

A 50% deposit is required to commence the project.

The remaining balance will be paid according to the agreed payment schedule, with payment terms generally falling within 14–30 days.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

If materials have already been ordered or booked for a project, those materials may be subject to a restocking fee if the project is cancelled or rescheduled.

A $1,000 + GST cancellation fee will also apply where materials have already been ordered or booked.

Client Responsibilities

You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the property, accurate project information (including underground services locations where relevant), and any approvals or consents required for the work.

Workmanship and Guarantees

We take pride in our workmanship. Workmanship covers both labour and materials supplied as part of the work. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law our liability is limited to the value of the services provided, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.

Website Use and Intellectual Property

All content on this website is owned by AJLC Excavating Services and may not be copied or reused without permission. The website is provided "as is" without guarantees as to availability or accuracy.

Privacy

We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 2020.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand; disputes are dealt with by the New Zealand courts.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these from time to time, published on this page with an updated effective date.
